Some of the people at Hunt Mysteries have been with us for years but take time off now and then. We are always bringing in new people to audition so we can expand our resources and offer other actors the unique opportunities we provide. Most of those who have performed with Hunt Mysteries have been between 20 and 60 years old. Hunt Mysteries is always looking for talented new actors. "A Wacky Witch's Wedding"
Date	Saturday, July 10, 11:00 am (Callbacks at 2 p.m.) (One day only) If you cannot make that date, please call Lee Hunt to see if special arrangements can be made.
Location	Auditions at Boccia's D'Italia 1045 N. Washington Blvd. Harrisville, Utah 84404 USA
Rehearsals	Rehearsals will be at Boccia's D'Italia and possibly other Ogden-area locations. Aug. 2nd - Oct. 7th. Two or three nights a week and/or Saturday mornings.
Note	Director: Alisha Williams All parts are paid gigs! Performances will be at Boccia's D'Italia in Harrisville (Ogden) Fridays and Saturdays and possibly some Thursdays Oct. 8-Oct. 30. Other weekday performances may be added, depending on ticket sales and possible private show bookings. No shows on Sundays. Once a century, on Halloween night, the Witches Coven gathers for a wild and wacky witch’s wedding. On that night, a trio of witches brews a potion so powerful that the unbelievable happens! Then the fun begins as they use the potion, with a few added ingredients, to conjure up an everlasting soulmate – one fit for the coven’s only eligible young witch. But something goes wrong – as they often do when mysteries unfold: Has the potion been properly prepared? Is there someone festering the festivities? Will the wedding come off without a witch -- hitch? Come join us for “A Wacky Witch’s Wedding” as Hunt Mysteries presents a rollicking Halloween comedy dinner theater murder mystery. You’ll have a wild & wacky witches good time! Characters: Gigi Gomez: The young and eligible witch who awaits a conjured groom. Nerva Gomez: She will stop at nothing to make her daughter happy. Hazel Witch: Gigi's aunt, Nerva's sister who sometimes gets things mixed up! Serena VaVoom: What every warlock and man wants -- so she says. Drack Gomez: Gigi's off-kilter uncle who's ready for a bite! Surprise Groom: When he's around, witches have found a dream come true.

"Gravestoned: All Men Are Cremated Equal"
Date	Saturday, June 26, 11 a.m. Callbacks Saturday, June 26, 2 p.m. Please email a head shot and resume and bring to the audition a list of any conflicts you may have, and be prepared with a comedic one-minute monologue, sixteen bars of an upbeat or romantic song. Please bring a minus track; there will not be a pianist.

Rehearsals	Rehearsals will be held in Salt Lake Valley, location TBD. July-Oct.7 Two or three nights a week and/or Saturday mornings.

No shows on Sundays. Join us at the Morticians Annual Cremation and Burial Rituals Expo (M.A.C.A.B.R.E.) 2010. Making M.A.C.A.B.R.E. product presentations will be Mortimer Stillman, owner of the ageless Stillman Funeral Home; Dorian D. Kay of DeKay Specially Funerals Inc.; Eudora Burns of the Burns-Goode Crematorium and Death Sciences Institute; Seymour Stiff, author and expert on all things Zoombie; and Pearl Goodbody, freelance makeup artist who specializes in making the living look as good as her corpses. Remember, it's never too early to start planning for your departure from this life -- so order your double-wide coffin with drink holder, snack fridge and cable TV today! CHARACTERS: Morticia Stillman: The mean, impatient, harpy proprietress of the Stillman Funeral Home. Mortimer Stillman: Meek and henpecked proprietor of the Stillman Funeral Home and host of M.A.C.A.B.R.E. 2010. Dorian D. Kay: Haughty, well-dressed, trendy rival mortician and owner of DeKay Specially Funerals Inc. Eudora Burns: Aloof, calculating rival mortician of the Burns-Goode Crematorium and Death Sciences Institute. Seymour Stiff: He's obsessed with dead things, especially Zombies, and is the author of 1001 Ways to Slay the Undead. Pearl Goodbody: Freelance makeup artist who sees the potential beauty in everyone and creator of her own line Corpsemetics.

Who We Are & What We Do:

Hunt Mysteries can be classified as intimate theater. Specifically we perform murder mystery dinner theater; our emphasis is on comedy and audience participation.
We perform public shows frequently throughout the Wasatch Front.
We regularly perform for private parties & conventions throughout Utah.
We also perform for clients outside of Utah in locations such as Wendover, Mesquite & Las Vegas, Nevada; Green River, Pinedale & Evanston Wyoming; Denver, Colorado and elsewhere.
Casts typically consist of six paid actors, with an even split of male & female roles.
Our scripts are about 20 pages in length -- and only represent about ¹/₃ of an evening's performance.
- One third in character adlib entertaining of guests at their tables.
- One third in character adlib answering questions during sleuthing.
- One third scripted dialogue.
The major difference between regular theater and Hunt Mysteries comedy murder mystery dinner theater is that there is no "4^th Wall" between the actors and the guests. In fact, the actors generally eat dinner with the guests, staying in character throughout the entire night. There are no curtains to hide behind!

Actors who do best in our shows:

Are creative, charismatic and have a passion for theater.
Are outgoing and enjoy mixing with guests.
Can do impromptu entertainment.
Continuously stay in character.
"Think on their feet."
Have a flair for comedy.
Can sing & dance.

When We Need You:

We generally hold open auditions every two months.

What To Bring:

Prepare a comedic monologue of your choice.
Prepare an upbeat song of your choice. Bring your own cassette tape or CD Karaoke minus track accompaniment. (No piano accompaniment available.)
Be prepared to do a quick dance combination.
Bring your résumé if we don't already have one, including a headshot photo that we can keep on file.
Be aware of any possible scheduling conflicts you may have with performance dates -- Filling out a schedule form is part of the audition process.
